I filled the box with 25 gold veggies I already had and then tried to grow 25 gold to meet both sides of the quest. I didn't grow all 25 and failed the quest, but I couldn't get the 25 I already turned in back. The Farmer goes to the town late at night and sees Pierre sneaking off to the forest. And when the townsfolk buy them, they say it came from my farm! So I guess if it’s a crappy produce, Pierre says it came from me. But if you happen to sell him melons or cauliflowers, those high quality produce, he claims to have grown them himself. What a turd. Probably because he brags that the crops you sell him are his own work. Pierre and his family aren't religious, they don't use the temple in their house, instead choosing to let the other people in Pelican Town use it.
